An Israeli Orly Theater flyer for a week of screenings of the film in 1977, text in Hebrew. - French film festival card (recto and verso) for the film, text in French. - Bifold promotion for a special preview screening of the film on March 19, 1974 (a week before the April 27, 1974 premiere) at the Lowes State I theater in New York, with an enclosed ticket stub. Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic 1925 novel. While the film received a mixed reception from critics, it was nevertheless praised for its lavish costumes and decadent set design. Original costume illustration by costume designer Theoni V. Aldredge for the 1974 film. Costume design for actor Lois Chiles who played Jordan Baker, with "Lois Chiles / The Great Gatsby / Theoni V. Aldredge" and a label printed with "N.B. Model" on the upper right. Aldredge won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the 1974 film. One of the most honored costume designers on Broadway, as well as film and television, Aldridge won three Tony Awards for "Annie" (1977), "Barnum" (1980), and "La Cage aux Folles" (1983), as well as eleven other Tony nominations. As well as winning the Academy Award for the 1974 film, Aldredge also won a British Academy Award for the film, and her designs for the film were adapted for an exclusive clothing line with Bloomingdale's in Manhattan.
