Aqui se habla del crimen, la traicion, la hipocresia y la critica a la moral burguesa.El narrador esta encerrado en un calabozo por haber estrangulado a Rigoletto, el jorobadito que da titulo al texto. La sociedad ve su crimen como la consecuencia de su locura y lo encierra en la carcel.La confesion sobre el estrangulamiento, escrita en la carcel, intenta justificar el asesinato como una especie de higiene social.
