Fraying on middle of page edges of several pages. Foxing on end pages and title pages. Frontispiece has illustration "The rites were progressing very satisfactorily" along witl other full page glossy illustrations throughout book. Stirng binding; Inner spine crease weakened but pages intact except page 121-122 that is excised from binding. Faded brown covers with black lettering and illustration on front and spine. Rubbing, smudges, creases, and wear on covers, edges, cpine ends, and corners.
