Prima edizione Copia autografata
Hardcover. Condizione: Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. First Edition. First Printing. A Fine copy in green cloth, in a Near Fine dustwrapper, not price-clipped, with a tiny stain to heel of spine (only visible on verso). 203pp. INSCRIBED "Bye Bye Baby" and SIGNED by Russ Hodges on the free front endpaper. Text and endpapers otherwise immaculate. With sections of black and white photographic illustrations. Hodges, who announced for the New York (and later San Francisco) Giants from 1949 to 1970, found fame with his call of the "shot heard round the world" pennant winning homer of Bobby Thompson in 1951. His home-run call was "Bye Bye Baby!" for the home team, and a song was made with those words in it which was the Giants theme music for several decades. Q15969.
