    Condizione: Very Good. Both documents are deeds. #1: On 3 April 1860 Newton H. Wickersham and his wife, Sarah Ann Wickersham, sold to David Shirts [sic Shurtz] (1814-1889), both of Delaware Township, Juniata County, Pa., a lot of less than half an acre and a house in Fayette Township, Juniata Co., for $50. Signed by Newton H. Wickersham and Sarah Ann Wickersham; justice of the peace William Dunn; and Juniata County Recorder of Deeds John P. Wharton. With the embossed stamped of the Juniata County Recorder of Deeds. Newton H. Wickersham (1819-1910) and Sarah Ann Smith Wickersham (1824-1916) were members of the Pennsylvania Yearly Meeting of Progressive Friends and of the Chester County Temperance Society. #2: On 21 Feb. 1890 Jonathan Kiser, the administrator of the estate of David Shurtz, sold to Isaac Ferguson of Greenwood Township, Juniata Co., the lot in Fayette Township for $40. Signed by Jonathan Kiser; the notary public, James K. Robison; and the Juniata County Recorder of Deeds Edward E. Berry. With the embossed stamps of the notary public and the recorder of deeds. In Very Good Condition: deed #1 has 2 closed tears of 4.5 cm. and less from the lower edge, with archival repairs; several small chips from the lower edge; is just starting to separate at the folds; is clean and solid otherwise; deed #2 is clean and bright.
