Titel auf dem VDeckel. - Erste Ausgabe. - Eine der frühen ausführlichen Beschreibungen in der Strahlentherapie mit der Radium-Therapie, mit Anwendung durch Trinkkuren, Badekuren und Inhalationen. Siegmund Saubermann war Direktor der "Radium-Heil-Gesellschaft" in Berlin und entwickelte ab 1912 seinen "Radium-Emanation-Activator". "Saubermann was a natural communicator with an eye for popular science: he filled his treatises with scientific drawings, long-winded explanations of how radium water treatments worked, and over-the-top claims. His books featured illustrations of the Activator alongside other products including Radium Gloves, Radioactive Earth (a type of mud treatment that came in a tin) and a radium compress treatment which was designed to be held against the body. Radium Ltd also sold a handy smaller version of the Saubermann Activator for patients to take with them when they were travelling. They even offered a version that incorporated a fluorescing compound that produced a glow-in-the-dark effect, which was said to be evidence that the Activator was working" (siehe: Lucy Jane Santos: Half Lives: The Unlikely History of Radium). - Einband gering gebräunt und etwas angestaubt.
