A letter thanking Levi for a book, arranging a visit and suggesting she will send along a list of societies to whom she would like the book sent. Angela Georgina Burdett-Coutts, 1st Baroness Burdett-Coutts 1814-1906 was a British philanthropist and one of her earliest philanthropic acts was to co-found (with Charles Dickens) a home for young women who had "turned to a life of immorality", including theft and prostitution. The home was known as Urania Cottage. Her support of missionary and nursing efforts allowed her to associate with Louisa Twining and Florence Nightingale. Levi Leone, 1821-1888. English jurist and statistician. His chief work, History of British Commerce and of the Economic Progress of the British Nation, 1763-1870, is considered to be a partisan account of British economic development.
