Appears to have been published in late 19th or early 20th c.; 478 p., clean and unmarked anywhere; ill.; very mildly age-toning with slight foxing or smudging on end pages; paper tear along front gutter, which is not cracked; binding tight; boards age-darkened with bumped corners and slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine panel, which has raised edges and stamped emblem. Lettering mostly effaced.

Fore edges a little dusty, and on two volumes have small splash marks; otherwise, bindings very sound, pages and plates bright and unmarred. A handsome set.

A stunningly beautiful copy. From a series of 24 (finally 26) volumes published, this is number 13 of that set. VG+ a beautiful copy of this volume with exquisite colored plates.
