Libro Prima edizione
Softbound. First. Blue/color illustrated wraps, 202pp, profuse color and BW illustrations. As the Birmingham District grew and prospered in the post Civil War decades, it developed the resources to support the arts--in particular, the vocations of eight southern women artists: Della Dryer, Lucille Douglass, Hannah Elliott, Carrie Hill, Caroline Lovell, Willie McLaughlin, Carrie Montgomery, and Alice Rumph who were the founders of the Birmingham Art Club in 1907. The portraits presented in this volume draw on public and private collections of paintings, scrapbooks, and letters as well as records collected by the Birmingham Historical Society and Birmingham Public Library. VG, some minor shelf wear and wear to edges.
