Sutri si mostra dunque in via di trasformazione, attraverso la metamorfosi delle particelle a schiera in palazzi signorili e grazie a cospicui interventi sui punti nevralgici e monumentali. Preziosa testimonianza in merito è il catasto del 1606 che ne fotografa il tessuto urbano, le emergenze architettoniche e la società.
