Pages are arranged in columns of 2 per page with black and white photographs throughout. Binding strong and secure. Very Good condition. Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. 1st Edition. 3 volumes, all hardcovers with DJ's. All three bound with Union blue cloth spines and Confederate gray half-boards, with lettering on the spine in gold, white, and green. All three volumes have their original cream-white dustjackets in good condition, but faded at edges and spine from age. No dates on the title pages. Copyright pages dated 1960 (volume 1 - the Blockaders), 1961 (volume 2 - The River War), and 1962 (volume 3 - The Final Effort). All three are stated First Editions on the copyright pages. Maps for endpapers. All three are signed by the author. Volume 1 simply has his name signed on the half title. Volumes 2 and 3 have inscriptions to the same person in Fredericksburg, VA, and both dated Dec 13 -- one in 1961 and one in 1962 -- which is the anniversary of the Battle of Fredericksburg. Nearly 500 pages in each volume. Bindings tight and clean and attractive. A very nice set. Extra shipping will be necessary since it's a 3 volume set. Signed by Author(s).
