Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book concerns the financial crisis that resulted from the South Sea Scheme of 1720. It begins by addressing the widespread speculation and subsequent fall of the scheme, and moves on to discuss the difficulties the author saw in finding a remedy. The author offers a number of proposals for addressing the crisis, including a general restitution, as well as examining and reforming the scheme. This book offers a unique perspective on financial bubbles and manias, and seeks to find a solution that would not only address the symptoms of the crisis but the root causes as well. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
