Octavo, 9 1/4" tall, xxii + 390 pages + black and white plates + 34 ads pages, white and maroon titles on blue boards. A very good minus, generally clean and neat hard cover overall with moderate shelf wear, boards are roughed at the edges, spine color faded (sunned), binding solid, paper lightly yellowed but with light foxing to the endpapers. In a good, edge-worn dust jacket, chipping at the flap fold and back strip edges top and bottom, and with the original price present.

Paperback. SIGNED. 325-388pp. Thin octavo [20 cm] Blue and white printed wraps. Very good. The wraps are ever so slightly rubbed and soiled. There are small stains in the top edges of the pages at the end of the text, and on the recto of the rear cover. Signed on p. 343 by May Swenson. May Swenson, a Utah native, has been the recipient of a Rockefeller Grant, and received the Robert Frost Fellowship in Poetry in 1957.

A Novelette of Desertion" by Gertrude Stein. Works by William Carlos Williams, Malcolm Cowley, Laura Riding, George Antheil, Kay Boyle. Reproducdtion by Giorgio de Chirico. These early editions are very fragile and few have survived in collectible condition. The wrappers on this copy are very good plus, no chipping, but there is a 3/4" chip from the bottom of the spine and slight sunning. Very scarce in this nice condition,.
