Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Presumed first edition (no additional printings listed). Complete ten volume, uniform set, each in original red cloth with stamped gilt lettering and decorative motifs, 4x5 7/8 inches, approximately 300-350 pp each, in original red cloth box with a half front board thus making titles visible. Front board has an open tear along top edge, another open tear along length of lid, 2 inch closed tear at each of the front edges, some soil, dusting on top board, some irregular spots of fading on rear board, 1x3 inches of cloth peeled back from inside of lid. Books themselves have spines faded and gilt dulled along upper portions, bit of faint mottling on cloth, dust darkening on top edges of textblock. In addition, "Around the Tea Table" is MISSING title page, 2 dogears in "Readings", 1 dogear in "Parlor", otherwise all are tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked, probably never really read.
