Cloth. Condizione: Near Fine. No Jacket. This little dictionary is based on the Pocket Oxford Dictionary which is a little larger. The editors of this book received helpful suggestions from the editors of Dictionary of American English in selecting and distinguishing words and meanings that have their origin or principal use in the United States. It is the 1941 Third Edition with corrections and revised addenda which has been added at the back. The book contains 640 pages and includes a chapter on Pronunciation of Proper Names. The condition is near fine. The pages are free of all marks, tears and folds; there are no signatures. The black cloth cover is clean with the title stamped in gold on the spine. The corners are sharp and the binding is tight.
