The objective of the study was isolation and sequencing of genes related to shattering viz. sh4 and qsh1 in weedy rice biotypes and characterization by expression profiling and phylogenetic analysis. The tBLASTx programme showed that the amplicon of size ~690bp was similar to shattering 4 (sh4) genes of Oryza populations, whereas the amplicon of size ~750bp belonged to qsh1 gene for putative transcription factor qsh1 of rice populations and mRNA of Oryza sativa japonica group.The result clearly revealed that the gene responsible for shattering viz., sh4 and qsh1 are present in both weedy rice and cultivated variety Uma as evidenced from the PCR amplification of genomic DNA. However, the genes responsible for shattering investigated in the present study viz., sh4 and qsh1 were not expressed in any of the growth stages in cultivated rice variety Uma. The NCBI conserved Domain Search programme, showed that the qsh1 FW2 x RW2 sequence of amplicon at ~750bp (obtained by reaction using weedy rice flag leaf cDNA) belonged to homeobox kn domain. The sequence of the amplicons of qsh1 obtained was the partial fragments of the first ever qsh1 gene for putative transcription factor qsh1 to be isolated from Oryza sativa f. spontanea.Phylogenetic tree constructed for sh4 FW2 x RW2 sequence, had highest similarity to shattering (sh4) gene of Oryza meridionalis voucher and also had relationship with Oryza rufipogon and Oryza sativa. However, the weedy rice qsh1 FW2 x RW2 query sequence was closely related to qsh1 gene of Oryza rufipogon, together with Oryza sativa indica group and Oryza sativa japonica group. Semi quantitative analysis with sh4 and qsh1 gene primers showed that the sh4 gene was expressed in flag leaf and grains and qsh1 gene was expressed only in the flag leaf. From this study it can be inferred that the gens responsible for shattering in weedy rice biotypes of Kerala viz. sh4 and qsh1 are present both in cultivated rice and weedy rice. In doing so, decision makers are often very conservative to increase the reliability of allocation process and decrease the probability of damage associated with failure to deliver the allocated water.The water allocation process in the Murrumbidgee region is well monitored, and follows an established set of clear rules and supported by various hydro-meteorological data. Despite this, the water allocated to irrigated agriculture, in particular to annual crops, is often conservatively low at the beginning of the season. This allocation will then be increased, as a results of the revision of allocation volumes all through the cropping season. As a consequence of these inconsistencies between the initial and the final allocation of water, the optimal benefit from the available water is hampered.

Diese Methode der Textanalyse werde ich in meiner Arbeit ebenfalls anwenden, um die Bedeutung des Kolonialismus bezüglich des Rassismus für die Erzählung ¿Die Verlobung in St. Domingö herauszuarbeiten. Hierbei werde ich zunächst die Verhaltensweisen der einzelnen Figuren betrachten, darauf achten, inwiefern die Figuren rassistische Züge aufweisen und wodurch die Figuren Vertrauen beziehungsweise Misstrauen gegenüber einander entwickeln. Anschließend werde ich auf die Erzählweise des Erzählers eingehen und die Funktion von Sprache und Gestik in dem Werk untersuchen.Kleists Erzählungen wurden einige Zeit lang von Nationalsozialisten missbraucht. Auch Kritiker werfen ihm eine rassistische Einstellung vor. Ob diese Vorwürfe ihm unrecht tun oder nicht, werde ich ebenfalls untersuchen.

The new method uses scaling by dividing the original variables with its mean, a specific weight for each individual indicator variable and the index assigns a specific numerical value to prices of vegetables for a given month. Initially monthly wholesale prices of nineteen vegetables were considered. As some vegetable prices were highly correlated, ten representative variables for highly correlated variables were retained based on variable-cluster analysis and correlation analysis. Green Beans, Leeks, Cabbage, Tomatoes, Brinjals, Pumpkin, Cucumber, Luffa, Ash Plantains and Green Chili were the indicator variables considered in the index building process.Initially, the grouping pattern in the data was identified through a Preliminary Factor Analysis. This resulted in a single factor explaining a substantial amount of the total variance. The original variables were divided by their means to scale the variables. The weight corresponding to a particular indicator variable was defined by squaring the Eigen vector coefficient of the given variable of the first Principle Component. Then the scaled variables were weighted and used in the final Factor Analysis. A single factor explaining 69.8% of total variance was selected as the composite index. First, the Vegetable Price Index was defined as a linear function of the composite index. Then it was converted into a function of original indicator variables by summarizing constant terms to make it easy to update. Cronbach's alpha was used to verify the internal consistency of the indicator variables. The work carried out in this seminar mainly deals with the survey of antenna structures which are compatible to integrate with passive circuits for microwave as well as millimeter/sub-millimeter wave applications. Lot of research in the field of passive receiver front end design is being carried out. This work covers three aspects of passive receiver front end design. The first is the analysis and design of new wide band high gain micro strip antennas, the second aspect is the design of compact high performance low-pass and band-pass filters and the third aspects is to integrate antenna and filter into single substrate. The trend of communication systems has imposed many restrictions on designers to have systems which should be light weight, robustness and have easy integration to other microwave circuits. In most of the communications systems the receiving antenna is followed with a band-pass filter. In microwave band this is normally a distributed lter and is implemented using the transmission line resonators. The transmission line filters are not compact, and in many applications where size is an issue may not provide the best solution. In the new active arrays, for example, it is desirable to integrate a complete front end with each individual antenna element. The area allocated to each cell, however, is determined by the array design and apertures efficiency requirements and is barely integrate the antenna and band pass filter in a single module, as is it more compact may also decrease the prefiltering losses to improve the noise performance.
