NOTE THAT WITH PACKAGING THE BOOK MAY WEIGH OVER ONE POUND AND ADDITIONAL SHIPPING CHARGES MAY BE NECESSARY IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES XX [From the back cover] Arvid Paulson was one of the foremost translators of Strindberg, translating over 50 plays, novels and other writings. In addition to his translating work, he is the author of "The Story of Don Quixote", with Clayton Edwards (1922) and a contributor to "Luck" by Lothrop Stoddard. He also had an active career as an actor and director and is listed in NOTABLE NAMES IN AMERICAN THEATRE. In his introduction, Paulson describes this as a "Poetic masterpiece? SLEEPWALKING NIGHTS should demonstrate that Strindberg the dramatist is also one of Sweden's foremost poets, more modern than most present-day poets." Vivian Shellabarger, member of the P.E.N. American Society and noted Swedish American says of this book, 'I was so captivated by the content of these poems and the skill of Arvid Paulson. Arvid has the beauty and poetry in his translation. . . Strindberg describes our modern times and still he wrote this in the Victorian era. I should think that this book should be a great addition to the Strindberg library in English, a book which will be read by every student who studies philosophy and literature." Martin Hoade, Producer/ Director of NBC commented: "To the partisans of Strindberg, these two works should re-kindle their enthusiasm for their idol. To a general audience, these works display remarkable timeliness: his discourse on decay of environment, natural and human.".
