ILP returned to Prague after 11 years, and it is tempting to look at how the topics of interest have evolved during that time. The ILP community clearly continues to cherish its beloved rst-order logic representation framework. This is legitimate, as the work presented at ILP 2008 demonstrated that there is still room for both extending established ILP approaches (such as inverse entailment) and exploring novel logic induction frameworks (such as brave induction). Graphics recognition is a subfield of document image analysis that deals with graphical entities in engineering drawings, sketches, maps, architectural plans, musical scores, mathematical notation, tables, diagrams, etc. GREC2007 continued the tradition of past workshops held at Penn State University, USA (GREC 1995, LNCS Volume 1072, Springer, 1996); Nancy, France (GREC 1997, LNCS Volume 1389, Springer, 1998); Jaipur, India (GREC 1999, LNCS Volume 1941, Springer, 2000); Kingston, Canada (GREC 2001, LNCS Volume 2390, Springer, 2002); Barcelona, Spain (GREC 2003, LNCS Volume 3088, Springer, 2004); and Hong Kong, China (GREC 2005, LNCS Volume 3926, Springer, 2006). However, solving p- ticular problems, for instance in Chapter 5, it may be preferable to work in terms of more suitable coordinate systems and their associated bases. The- fore, Chapter 2 is also concerned with the standard techniques of tensor an- ysis in general coordinate systems. Creep mechanics is a part of continuum mechanics, like elasticity or pl- ticity. Therefore, some basic equations of continuum mechanics are put - gether in Chapter 3. These equations can apply equally to all materials and they are insuf cient to describe the mechanical behavior of any particular material. Thus, we need additional equations characterizing the individual material and its reaction under creep condition according to Chapter 4, which is subdivided into three parts: the primary, the secondary, and the tertiary creep behavior of isotropic and anisotropic materials. The creep behavior of a thick-walled tube subjected to internal pressure is discussed in Chapter 5. The tube is partly plastic and partly elastic at time zero. The investigation is based upon the usual assumptions of incompre- ibility and zero axial creep. The creep deformations are considered to be of such magnitude that the use of nite-strain theory is necessary.
