Libro
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. An early, scarce edition of this important debate in Cincinnati in April, 1829, between Owen and Campbell on "all the systems of sceptcism of ancient and modern times." Campbell was the founder of the Disciples of Christ Church. Owen had joined with the "Free Enquirers." Book, which has two volumes bound together, is in GOOD PLUS condition--and would be in VERY GOOD condition except for some heavy foxing throughout the text. However, every word is easily legible. The book's foredges and bottom edges are untrimmed. End pages in place. No names in book, though an occasional marginal note is lightly penciled. Simple brown boards with cloth spine. Lettering on paper label is worn off. A handsome volume as is--and a splendid candidate for rebinding.
