    Hardcover. Condizione: Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. First Edition. 135 pages. Most are full page drawings. Dust jacket has 1/4" nick in the paper on the spine. Torn through but the flap is present at this nick and laid down under the clear plastic cover is nearly unoticable. No fading or rubbing on the jacket. Price intact on jacket flap. Very good plus to near fine for the jacket.

    First Edition. Signed by the author / artist, Thomas Hart Benton: ÒTo Paul Henning, Thomas H. Benton.Ó at Mr. ThomasÕs black & white photograph frontispiece portrait opposite the title page. Paul Henning (1911 - 2005) was the creator, writer, and producer of such popular television shows as The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, and Petticoat Junction. Oversize format, 10 1/4Ó x 12Ó. Illustrated throughout with 135 black & white drawings, most of which were made for use in and have become parts of a painting or a mural. About fine copy with a touch of shelf wear in a very good dust jacket with some minor dust soiling to the rear panel, a 1 1/2Ó tear to the top edge of the front panel, and some tears and internal tape repairs. The front panel of the dust jacket is a color photograph of Mr. Benton sitting by a river on a sunny afternoon, drawing, with a couple of canoes in the background.
