Auch die Möglichkeit economies of scale zu nutzen oder Imagevorteile zu generieren motivieren Unternehmen dazu, sich im Ausland zu engagieren.Die Praxis zeigt, dass ein erfolgreicher Markteintritt auch mit einer jungen, innovativen Strategie gelingen kann, wie dem Co-Branding. Produkte, bei denen renommierte Marken eine Kooperation eingegangen sind, um im Rahmen eines Co-Branding ihre Kompetenzen zu bündeln und etwas neues zu schaffen, haben sich in der Vergangenheit bei den Konsumenten bewährt und konnten sich von der Konkurrenz abheben. Als Beispiele sind hier für Deutschland Kooperationen zu nennen, wie zum Beispiel ein Sport-schuh von adidas und Goodyear, Bonbons von Smarties und Haribo und ein Rasierer von Phillips und Nivea.Die Vorteile des Co-Brandings werden auch im Rahmen von Markteintritten in das Ausland genutzt, um zum Beispiel Markteintrittsbarrieren zu überwinden und das Flop Risiko zu minimieren.
