No Binding. Condizione: Near Fine. 31 x 17" color map printed one side that folds into a card stock folder about the size of a business envelope. Two inset maps as follows: one showing Northern Pacific Railway and Steamship Lines to and from Alaska and the Orient, the other a map by M. J. Grindhem [1927] of steamship lines from the east coast of the U.S. to South America, Europe and Africa, both inset maps showing distances in miles. Card folder has a black and white image spread across both panels of a Northern Pacific Railway diesel engine. Folder adds the following descriptions: "Main Street of the Northwest" and "Route of the North Coast Limited". Map is fine, clean and bright and with no separations at the folds. Folder is slightly rubbed along the spine, two corners have been slightly bent at some point but are now flat and without any loss, else very good and better. This detailed map shows Northern Pacific Railway and Burlington lines, as well as Main Connections, Other Railroads, Steamship lines, Standard Time Divisions, Off-line N.P. Traffic Offices, and, of course, cities, towns, natural features, and the like. This is a comprehensive map of the railway system of the U.S. in 1949.
