Da: Ground Zero Books, Ltd., Silver Spring, MD, U.S.A.
Condizione: fair to good, ex-lib. 288, errata, ftnotes, appendices, index, library bookplate & stamp, discolor ins flyleaves, some soiling fore-edge, boards scuffed. Spine stained, spine edges and board corners worn. Preface by Arthur Hungerford Pollen. The author argues that airships can never be safe or practical as commercial long-distance vessels, and that they are useless in war, and that airplanes can never be made to pay as passenger or freightcarriers and that they are unreliable and ineffective in war. There is much material comparing airships and aircraft.
