Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. The central point in this provoking study is that a zoo is by no means merely a business concerned with zoology as it still so often assumed; it is concerned more with human problems. Man is the only animal that keeps other animals in captivity and that is capable of domesticating wild animals. Without domestic animals the humans concentrated in large cities could not in fact exist, because these animals form the basis of there diet. This book is a fascinating read. The Jacket has been price clipped and has a clear protective cover.
