Light surface wear, tiny indentation to upper spine, with a faint diagonal crease to upper left corner of rear wrapper; contents fresh; Near Fine. Reissue of the first book by the co-founder of the Black Panther Party, recorded by Arthur Goldberg while Seale was in San Francisco County Jail between November, 1969 and March, 1970. Seale describes the book in the foreword: "There have been a lot of misconceptions about the Black Panther Party. I wanted to write this book so people would have a better insight into the inner workings of the Party - what it really does, the kind of people who are in it, their everyday lives, and the things that have happened to the Party, so that people would have a proper understanding of the Black Panther Party." Contents cover the Chicago conspiracy case, New Haven Panther trial, issues with law enforcement, and his relationship with Huey P. Newton, with a new 3pp introduction by the author. [64006].

Mass Market Paperback in 476 pages is in only Good condition: very clean, NO writing/highlighting/underlining; not ex-lib, binding straight & strong, pages moderately tanned, commensurate with age & paper quality. Downgraded primarily due to these flaws: 1) light dampstain to fore edge, which affects that same outer edge on pages in the beginning of the book, & stains both cover; 2) some white paper stuck to back cover, probably from that same getting wet incident. Does not impact readability or contents just exterior aesthetics. Please see our photos--they show the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images!
