FIRST ED, PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE BUILDING'S OWNER HAROLD C. PRICE, SIGNED BY PRICE ON SPECIAL BOOKPLACE (loose in book with glue residue inside front cover) PRESENTED ON THE OCCASION OF THE OPENING OF THE PRICE TOWER FEB. 9, 1956. The Price Tower was Wright's only skyscraper, and was built for Price, who owned an oil pipeline company in Bartlesville, OK. Wright supposedly got his inspiration from a tree (hence the subtitle) and the building is built like a tree with a central core off of which the floors are cantilevered.
