There are a few pages at the rear of the book with charts and symbols. Plaintext paperback binding with white, black and dark pink coloured titles to the front panel and dark pink and black coloured titles to the back strip. Black and white photograph of author to the lower right-hand corner of the rear panel. First published in 1946. Quoting the rear panel blurb " . The book is showing age and use. Creasing, multiple to the book corners with a reading crease to the back strip stop rubbing of the book edges and panels and there is patching yellowing of the background of all edges. Age toning of the text block edges and pages with the lower right-hand corner of the page being dogeared from the free front end page through to page 23.
