Libro Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Poor. First Edition. 256 pages, illus., 1975. The standard reference book on the life and work of Thomas Cole who made some fabulous clocks before his death from typhoid in 1864. Cole is probably the best clockmaker of the early Victorian period famed for the elegance of his designs and the quality of his engraving. This book is also very useful for the horology extracts from the 1851 and 1862 London exhibitions, and the 1855 Paris exhibition. A good copy (shelf wear to lower edge), the dust jacket worn and torn with some loss.
