Prima edizione
Condizione: Very Good. First Edition. Three rare yearbooks documenting the creative college years of acclaimed Southern writer Flannery O'Connor. Her linocut illustrations (which received renewed attention with a Fantagraphics collection in 2012) are very prominent in the 1944 & 1945 volumes, making up the endpapers of the latter and heading its every chapter. There are also numerous photos of her in her various endeavors as editor of The Corinthian (GSCW's literary quarterly), and participant in the yearbook, the International Relations Club, the Town Girls' Club (for student relations) and the Newman Club (for Catholic students). A rare showcase of her formidable creativity and personality in context. First and only editions. 144; 146; 156 pp. Three volumes. Original faux leather bindings. Very Good with soiling to covers and light wear, rubbing to letter, occasional slight foxing to contents, various notes in margins and underlining as is typical with a yearbook. Includes tipped-in note on what appears to be a square of wrapping paper, "For Herman Happy New Year from the O'Connors," which is quite possibly written by Regina O'Connor, mother of the famous writer.
