Henrietta arrived in the United States in 1882 and found work as a seamstress. In 1904, Henrietta founded the Women's Bureau, the first national women's organization in the United States. Henrietta was a tireless advocate for women's rights, and she worked tirelessly to make sure that women had the same opportunities as men.
