This is an original issue of 180 pages dated January 1869 - Volume 7, No. 1 - An Illustrated Magazine - covers are slightly chipped, otherwise in nice condition - covers and contents are tight - On page 5 is the second part of the serial publication of the novel by Jane Austin titled "Cipher" (chapters 8 - 17) illustrated by Sol Eytinge - many other interesting articles by notables but a key item in this issue is the very First Printing on pages 88-90 of WILLIAM CULLEN BRYANT'S poem titled "THE FLIGHT OF THE DOOMED" -- many pages of fascinating advertisements.
