Descrizione: London: Haskins Press, 1975., 1975. Hardcover. Condizione: Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Fine. 1st Edition. Measuring approximately 12" x 15", the book is a hardcover with a photographically illustrated dust jacket. The book and dust jacket are both in FINE condition. The book is protected by a mylar cover. The book is inscribed and boldly signed by Sam Haskins on the title page. This is a signed limited edition of Sam Haskins classic photobook "Cowboy Kate & Other Stories" published by Haskins Press, London in 1975. Originally published by Bodley Head in 1965, Haskins reissued the book under his own imprint in this far superior format that is beautifully produced in gravure and full captures the photographic grain that Haskins used as a medium for expression and image design. "Cowboy Kate" was awarded the Prix Nadar, France, in 1964 and continues to be a major influence on contemporary photographers, film makers, and fashion designers. From the publisher: "Haskins' seminal sixties classics, which include the groundbreaking Cowboy Kate, are landmarks in the history of photography, as revered today as they were when first published forty years ago. In Cowboy Kate, a lyrical tale of the triumph of youth played out by cowgirls of the old west, Haskins reinvented the genre of the nude with stunningly well-executed photographs, a cinematic approach, and a subtly engaging narrative. As photographer Nick Knight noted, 'Haskins' work is often referenced because it offers an untroubled vision of life. There's a joie de vivre, a sexiness and hipness, that designers and photographers are always looking to tap into.' Often copied but rarely equaled, Haskins has an exceptional ability to photograph women with a sensitivity that has won him accolades from men and women alike.". Signed by Author(s).
