Swajaldhara is a Government of India programme implemented in the national level.The first one is more participatory in nature and acclaimed globally . community ownership is very visible in the project.While working in Jalanidhi,the authors were invited by Swajaldhara community to help them to make a jalanidhi model governance in their schemes.its a narration of field experience rather than a academic experiment.

Deepabinu is a social worker.Completed her M Phil and doing PhD.Working as a public relation officer in National Rural Health Mission.Binu K Puram is a sociologist&Trainer.He practiced and researched around 10 years in Rural&Urban Water and sanitation projects .Presently working in Disaster Risk Reduction with Government of India and UNDP.
