Descrizione libro Appleton, NY and Philadelphia, 1848. Hard cover. First edition, not stated. 64 pgs., 16mo. Fragile binding lacking the backstrip. The first edition of this book of maxims and guide to 19th century moral conduct . The blank ends were used for penmanship/ handwriting exercises by an early owner, and have no great interest. The text pages show stains for about the first half of the book, but all text is readable. This seems like a "tea accident", about the color of foxing, in splotches. Still a rare example of the genre. Fair condition only, missing the backstrip. Codice libro della libreria 1415
