No edition stated, but presumed first edition (hardback). 8vo (23cm by 18cm), 24pp. 12 full-page colour illustrations. Original grey cloth, colour plate inlaid on the front board. The binding is dusty, the endpapers are foxed, the upper corner has been cut away from the front free endpaper and the frontispiece (not affecting the image), and there is a gift inscription. Overall, this book is in good condition.

A story in verse about mice, with a poem facing a picture on every page. Covers are soiled, and bumped at corners and spine ends. Contents have pulled away from binding at both front and back. Gift inscription on front endpaper, some largely erased pencil scribble. Frontispiece and one other plate slightly damaged, last plate creased, remaining nine plates in very good condition. One page of text has been torn through and roughly mended with paper tape.
