Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. Very good book with many illustrations and photogravure plates. Olive green colored cloth covered boards with gilt text and graphics stamped on front panel, both in near fine condition. Gilt text on spine; spine is sunned, text is rubbed but legible; publisher's name at tail of spine is difficult to make out due to frayed condition along lower 1/8" of edge. Upper edge along head of spine is similarly fraying. Light scuffs on upper and lower edges of front and back board panels with lower fore-edge corners and upper fore-edge corner tips rubbed through. Spine and fore-edge folds have light scuffs in several places. Upper page edges are gilt. Old (small) book listing attached to upper right corner on front paste down, measures 1/4" by 2 1/4". Of the many illustrations listed, there are 10 indicated as "facing," however, the facing illustrations are missing and instead there are photogravures with different titles. All tissues are in place before photogravures. A few internal smudges otherwise internally clean. Text block is very sound. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition description. Additional photos available at your request.
