Internally, no inscriptions, engraved titlepage, [1], 2-145 pp music and words, [1]glossary, 1 pl (eng tp), consists of 72 songs. Not dated but early 1820's? Title continues: Being a Selection of the most Popular Scottish Songs, arranged with new Symohonies and Accompaniments. Also several of them Harmonized for Three Voices. Parry, instrumentalist and composer, composed six collections of Welsh airs (1804?48) and numerous songs, ballads, and catches, published separately and in contemporary anthologies, as well as pieces for harp, piano, flageolet, flute, and violin. Two Scottish songs, ?O merry row the bonnie bark? and ?Smile again, my bonnie lassie?, were particularly popular, as was the duet ?Flow gently Deva?. See ODNB.
