Portraits of the directors from photographs. The history and development of the industry are encompassed in this superbly produced book. Illuminated capitals in red and decorated head marginsgrace the pages. Brief histories of old established companies, including lists of their customers from the early Nineteenth Century, are included. In the original red lettered vellum over gilt lettered and decorated blue boards. There is a small tear at the head of the spine and the tipped in colour frontispiece of Blackfriars House is wanting. This apart a very good copy of this handsomely produced company history.
