Das Buch schildert den Freiheitskampf der Flamen gegen die spanische Herrschaft im sechzehnten Jahrhundert (jenen Stoff also, den Goethe in "Egmont" behandelt hat) und macht die legendäre Gestalt des Eulenspiegel zum flämischen Volkshelden. Das Buch ist in sehr gutem Zustand. Mit Holzschnitten von Frans Masereel.
