Two vintage reference photographs of actors Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert from the 1934 film. One photograph with release stamp on the verso. Based on Samuel Hopkins Adams' 1933 magazine story "Night Bus," about a strong-willed heiress who falls in love with a newspaper reporter while attempting to escape the control of her wealthy father. The first film to sweep the Academy Awards in five major categories (Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Screenplay), a classic of screwball comedy, featuring two icons of early Hollywood at their peak. Shot on location in Chatsworth, California. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with creasing and pinholes at the corners. One photograph with a small chip at the top right corner from pinholes. National Film Registry. Byrge and Miller, The Screwball Comedy Films. Criterion Collection 736.
