The story of America's Only Narrow Gauge Transcontinental. 4to hardcover book has a lightly bumped spine tail & head and the yellow cloth boards show a touch of soiling along the eges, but is otherwise fine. Pictorial endpapers, profuse with b&w (and occassionally color) photos and illustrations. The VG dj is chipped and tape repaired at the spine head, has a a couple of tape-repaired closed tears, and very light additional edge wear. Still these perfections are all minor in what is still a solid and attractive copy. **EXTRA SHIPPING must be paid on expedited and international orders because of the size and weight of this book--please inquire before purchase.
