Decorative illustrated binding with an Indian warrior shooting a bow and arrow on the cover. With 8 full-page illustrations by Hindley. Includes Scribner's 16 page catalog in rear. Boards with heavy wear and soiling; spine faded and torn; pages dusty with damp staining. Reading copy only. George Alfred Henty (1832 ? 1902), was a prolific English novelist and a special correspondent. He is best known for his historical adventure stories that were popular in the late 19th century.
