Small quarto, two volumes, xxx, 392 pages plus 40 plates (pages of diagrams, mainly floor plans), and xviii, 777-1014 pages plus 8 plates (pages of diagrams, mainly floor plans). Cloth with the dustwrapper (Part I), and later laminated papered boards reproducing the cover design of the original wrappers (Part II); small name-stamp on the front free endpapers; edges and endpapers of the first volume a little discoloured; in excellent condition with the dustwrapper sunned on the spine, with a short tear at the head. Both volumes are revised and augmented by Jaromir Malek. The original 1931 edition comprised only one volume; the revision saw that expanded to four volumes. Fascicles 1 and 2 of Part 2 were first published in 1978 and 1979 respectively. Loosely inserted in these volumes are two 1990 newspaper obituaries for Rosalind Moss (one of them by Malek).
