The Decisions of the Lords of Council and Session, in most cases of importance, debated, and brought before Them; from June 1621 to July 1642. With an index of the pursuers and defenders names; and an other of the most Material Points decided therin. Observed by Sir Alexander Gibson of Durie; then one of the Senators of the Colledge of Justice: Corrected and Revised, by W.A.F.C. Edinburgh, printed by the Heir of Andrew Anderson, Printer to Their most Excellent Majesties; And Sold by George Mossman in the Parliament-Closs, near the Exchange. Anno Dom. MDCXC. Hardcover, 900 pages and an index. Bound in full leather, with five raised cords, one label, and gilt stamping on the spine. The hinge at the front cover is torn and the spine piece is loose at the bottom and right sides. Front board is loose. There are several white smudges on the boards. This volume also has a bookplate from the previous owner Graham, as well as an auction description glued to the front attached endpaper. 301 is written below in pencil. There is a signature in faded brown ink on the title page; I think the name is Jo Goldie, but it s difficult to read. For all volumes, the crown & foot of the spines and the edges and corners of the boards have some wear, including bumping and light chipping. Leather is lightly worn, including shallow creases on the spine and rubbing. The pages have rippled somewhat and evenly toned with age. The endpapers are especially toned around the outside edges. Some notes are written in faded ink on the pages and margins. There are also a few fingerprints, smudges, and minor creases to some of the pages.
