The interior is in good condition, apart from the rear of the front and back cover that show signs of wear.; 3rd reprint of the 1st edition.; Catalogue from the first annual exhibition at The Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, June-July 1971, focusing on Southeast Asian wares exclusively, i.e. pottery of continental Southeast Asia exclusive of South China and Laos and of peninsular Thailand and Malaysia with Singapore.; "Most of the pots seen on the museum shelves were made either at the Sukhotai or Sawankoloke kilns of Thailand, or at the kilns in the northern part of the old kingdom of Annam (today is part of North Vietnam). The majority of pieces in both these groups belong to either the 14th or 15th centuries. The earliest wares on display, on the other hand are undoubtedly those here called 'Khmer', which date from the 10th to the 13th centuries, and which were made either in Cambodia or in Thai territory under Cambodian control. The latest are wares from the northern Thai kilns at Sankampaeng and Kalong dating from the 15th to the 16th centuries." excerpt from the introduction.
