Cloth. Condizione: Fine. No Jacket. First Edition. 400 copies of this Mainline Edition of The Age of Steam were printed of which only 350 were for sale. This is number 288. Signed by both authors. Hardback in black cloth and covered boards, red cloth spine. Brilliantly colored paste down of a steam engine bellowing black smoke on the front cover. Corners of the slipcase are rubbed and one side beginning to crack. Previous owner had written in pencil on the dedication page that it was the limited edition and there remains a faint outline. Still a handsome copy and a nice addition to anyone collecting on railroads. A large book and additional postage will be necessary.
