Penned acquisition note dated Christmas, 1894 on the front paste-down; small bookseller label on the rear paste-down. A slight starter follows the series title page and is present between pages 4 and 5. A couple of tears to the leaf with pages 5 and 6. The slightly age-tanned contents (xii + 321 pp., including a rear index) otherwise appear clean, complete and securely bound. Teg. Red cloth with gilt titling in a black spine label. Bit of rubbing in the extremities including; bumped spine head and tail edges. No remainder marks.
