Hardcover is in good condition (mildewed, soiled and stained on the front and back covers and the inside of the front and back covers and spine and bumped on the top corner of the front cover). Dust jacket is in very good condition (multiple tears at the creases, spine and edges, yellowed, faded, scratched on the front cover, rubbed on the back cover and edge wear). Brodart protected. 315 pages with black and white photographs. Size: 8vo-over 7¾-9¾" tall. Also includes 8 postcards with pictures of various rooms and outside property of Harry S. Truman's home at 219 N. Delaware in Independence, Missouri 64050. Also included is a note dated "Oct. 11 - 1994" that reads "Dear Bert - This is the 9th Truman Book of Bob Ferrell's. The Truman Library hosted a luncheon for about a dozen of Truman's old friends, neighbors, archivists and library officials to plan the program to honor Ferrell's introducing his new book release. Following the luncheon this group entertained a packed auditorium audience with first hand stories about Truman, Churchill and MacArthur. Wallace fielded a number of questions from the audience. Bob Ferrell grew up in the library where he had an office for many years. It was an interesting day. Ferrell is considered the best of the Truman biographers. Dotty and I hope you enjoy the book.
