Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. The jacket is chipped at the head and tail of the spine, with minor loss to the two outer edges. The front end paper is damaged were a a label has been removed, probaly a name one. The damage is superficial. There are two small, light stains on the head of page 7, the beginning of the book, which could be coffee and a very small, circular one on the opposite blank page. A similar one is on the head of the front paste down. Another very small stain is on the top of the back end paper, which has dribbled, ever so slightly, to head. The faults are minor, and the book remains a very nice copy.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good -. First U.K. Edition. Extremely scarce mystery, winner of Britain's prestigous Dagger Award. This copy is very good with faint lean and evidence of sticker removal to rear end paper. Unclipped jacket is very good minus with wear to spine ends and tanning to inside flaps. Overall it is very presentable. A Victorian Mystery set in Oxford.
