Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible crushing to spine ends. Noticeable sunning to spine and edges. Small splits to spine ends. Light marks to boards.

Browning to the edges of the pages with light spotting to the fore edges. There are impressions left by some drawing to the front free endpaper and there is light spotting to the half-title page and its reverse. One small blue mark to the reverse of the colour frontispiece. Slight spotting to the title page but otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. No jacket. Illlustrated by Isobel Morton-Sale. First printing.
Reprint. Hardback. Green boards, blue decoration and lettering. Book is in Good condition, closed page edges and end papers tanned. Unclipped (7/- net) dust jacket is Poor, several ragged losses and generally grimy but presents reasonably well under its new protective cover. Patricia Lynch (1894-1972) was an Irish children's writer and a journalist. She is best known for blending Irish rural life and fantasy fiction. Patricia Lynch's earliest children's stories were published in the Irish Press in 1931. she wrote some fifty children's books and around two hundred short stories. The very lightly tanned pages are annotation free, although light usage creases & the very occasional light mark, light spots of foxing to closed outside edge (not effecting pages) & unfortunetly 1 page has tear to bottom corner but looks like it could be repaired fairly easily.
